Demos: CBS Takes The Lead, Cable Numbers Drop
Broadcast: November was a slightly slower month for viewership figures, with CBS taking the lead with an average P2+ viewership of 4.8 million for this month. This increase in viewership numbers for CBS is due in part to NFL National which had an audience of 31 million. ABC follows with a P2+ audience viewership of 2.7 million due to Saturday and Monday Night Football gaining 9.8 and 8.6 million audience views respectively. FOX trails behind with a P2+ audience of 1.8 million. The CW saw an audience viewership of 282,000, while NBC, who was the leader for broadcast audience numbers last month, has dropped all the way to last.
Cable: Cable had some average to low numbers this month, with BET coming out on top once again, but with a lower audience viewership from previous, being a P2+ audience of 141,000. Meanwhile the Magnolia Network begins to catch up to BET with an audience viewership of 96,000 which is much lower than last months. OWN also received a much lower audience viewership in the P2+ category, that being 82,000. The Weather Channel and Justice Central both received audience viewerships of 65,000 and 64,000. BET Her dropped considerably as well, sitting at 18,000 from a previous P2+ viewership of 35,000. Finally, Comedy.TV and Cleo TV receive audience viewerships of 8,000 and 6,000 respectively.
Spanish Language: Spanish language channels had regular numbers compared to previous months, especially Univision which had a P2+ viewership of 991,000 thanks in part to the audience of 2.1 million that tuned into Liga MX. Following was Telemundo with a viewership audience score 783,000 due to Top Chef VIP audience viewership total of 755,000. Unimas follows with 355,000 average P2+ viewership. TUDN is down by 62% with an audience viewership of 41,000. Finally, Universo has an audience viewership of 25,000.
Streaming: November saw a .5% drop in streaming service viewership and usage overall. For all TV watched this month, 40.5% of it was on streaming services according to the Nielsen Report. Youtube is once again the top contender this month at 10.6%. Netflix follows with 7.5%. Amazon Prime Video is at 3.5% of all TV watched. Disney+ and Hulu are neck and neck with each other at 2.4% each which makes sense since signing up for a Disney+ membership grants members access to Hulu. Roku and Tubi also share the same portion at 1.8% of all TV viewership. Finally Peacock is at a 1.3%, while Max and Paramount+ share a portion as well at 1.2%.
