Kenan Thompson Returns As The Host Of The People's Choice Awards

Kenan Thompson - Michael Buckner

On October 26, 2022, Kenan Thompson was confirmed to return as host of the People’s Choice Awards for the second year in a row. The show will air simultaneously on NBC and E! from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar on December 6, 2022. The People's Choice Awards benefited greatly from Kenan's incomparable performance the previous year, during which his zeal and passion for popular culture and the fans were evident.

The longest-serving cast member, Thompson is presently in his 20th season on Saturday Night Live. Six times nominated for an Emmy, Thompson won one for "Come Back, Barack," the SNL song for which he wrote the outstanding original music and lyrics. Thompson also garnered four nominations for his acting efforts.

Den of Thieves, led by executive producers Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, and Barb Bialkowski, produces the People's Choice Awards. Voting for this year's nominees, which include works from the worlds of film, television, music, and popular culture, is open until November 9, 2022.
