Daytime Emmys Airdate Set For December
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced that the airdate for the 50th annual Daytime Emmys will now be December 15 on CBS. Initially set to air on June 16, the awards show had to be canceled due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which concluded on November 9.
Additionally, NATAS has solidified the dates for the Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmys, the 2nd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards and Trustees’ Gala, and the Children’s & Family Creative Arts Emmys, which will all take place the weekend of December 16 and 17,
Although the Daytime Emmys were clear to move forward since it fell under the non-struck SAG-AFTRA Network Code, NATAS and CBS likely waited for the strike’s resolution before announcing the airdate on November 10.
Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner will host the ceremony from Los Angeles’ Westin Bonaventure.
