Broadcast: Telemundo 51 Miami named veteran Liliet Heredero as Vice President of News & Content. Heredero brings 20 years of experience and has served as Director of Multiplatform Content & Streaming for Telemundo 51 and NBC6 South Florida/WTCJ since 2022. Heredero will provide leadership in the newsroom and oversee aspects of production, operations, and editorial for TV, streaming, and digital media platforms.

WBTV Charlotte, N.C., an affiliate of Gray Media CBS, announced Kym Anderson as their new evening anchor starting Monday, April 7. Anderson holds 18 years of experience, where she spent time in Alabama with WHNT Huntsville, WJSU Anniston, and WAFF Huntsville.
News Director Jason Stevens said: “Kym’s energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and we knew immediately that she would be a great fit at WBTV. Her commitment to the community is exactly what our ‘On Your Side’ brand is all about.”

Action News Jax welcomed their newest weekly anchor and reporter, Deja Mayfield, to Jacksonville, FL.
Former KTRK/ABC13 anchor/reporter Jacob Rocson announced he will be returning to Houston TV as a news anchor for KHOU/CBS 11, where he will be co-anchoring the morning news.
"Jacob brings the perfect combination of hometown knowledge and world-class journalism experience to our team," said David Loving, KHOU 11 vice president and general manager, in the release. "His proven track record covering local news and major national stories will be an incredible asset to our audience as we continue to deliver the most comprehensive news coverage in Houston."
WESH-2 local anchor Sheldon Dutes announced his departure from TV News to pursue other adventures.
“Quick update/career change! Wrapping up my 18-year broadcast news career with a full heart and lots of gratitude. I anchored in my hometown, worked in New York, earned recognition for my work, and made lifelong friends along the way. It’s been great. Truly. But I’m excited and ready to pursue new career ambitions outside of TV news,” said Sheldon Dutes.
WMBD and WYZZ welcomed a new early-morning anchor, Renea Skinner, a 14-year broadcast veteran, joining Periora as an anchor for WMBD This Morning and WYZZ Good Day Central Illinois.
“I really like the community, and I really like what it has to offer,” she said. I really hope that I can make a difference in this community as I feel like I've done in other communities. My purpose is to be a good storyteller, and I want to capture stories that matter to viewers.”
News 4 San Antonio announced that former reporter Mariza Mendoza would return to the station as a co-anchor for the morning desk alongside David Chancellor. Mendoza decided to take time away from the station to focus on family.
"I decided to come back because this opportunity presented itself. I think News 4 has always had a great brand and such talented people working in the newsroom. I think we have unique opportunity for our morning show to really help viewers start their day off strong with people who are just like them, working parents wanting what is best for their families and communities," Mendoza told MySA.
Scripps’ WTVR anchor, Marc Mullins, announced his and potentially other cuts made to the Indianapolis ABC affiliate.
“WRTV informed me earlier this month it is eliminating my position, along with others, as the station’s parent company makes some staff reductions,” Mullins wrote.
NIckelle Smith was named live on air as the new co-anchor of Good Morning Nashville.
Lisa Washington joined NBC affiliate WCNC in Charlotte, N.C., as a morning anchor, bringing 12 years of experience, including four years at WNEP as an evening news anchor and KDKA in Pittsburgh.
Lili Zheng was announced as NBC10's newest general assignment reporter. Zheng was working as a weekend reporter in March after working for WTTG-TV as a freelance reporter. Before this, she worked as a reporter for KXAS-TV and a multimedia journalist for KFOR-TV.

KTLA-TV announced the signing of Emmy award-winning host, writer, and producer Melvin Robert as a Morning News Entertainment Anchor/Reporter. Robert worked previously as a correspondent and weekend co-host of Extra and anchor of Good Day La. He returns to the network after interning for the company before his senior year. Roberts will host the daily entertainment and pop culture segments and co-host red-carpet specials for the station.

Tom Llamas was announced to take over as the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News after Lester Holt stepped down over the summer. Llamas was a senior national correspondent and anchor of Top Story with Llamas and will continue to anchor Top Story each weeknight.
“Lester Holt is a great man and one of the most trusted broadcasters of our time,” Llamas said. “Just like Lester, I promise to be devoted to our viewers and dedicated to the truth.”

After 33 years, KLFY anchor and reporter Darla Montgomery announced her retirement from the station.
The station said her career has “taken her across the world, from covering local and state elections to traveling with Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to Canada in an effort to promote tourism. She has interviewed some of the nation’s most well-known political figures, including former Vice President Al Gore and political strategist James Carville.”
“The most meaningful stories are the ones right here at home,” she said. “The people of this community are what have made this job so special.”
WSYX ABC 6 shared that Rodney Dunigan will expand his role at the station, joining the 6 p.m. anchor desk, while continuing his role as the Nightside Managing Editor for ABC 6 and FOX 28.

Cable: Nancy Han joined CNN Worldwide as senior vice president of video editorial, where she will lead CNN’s strategy for linear, digital, and mobile platforms. In addition, Han will lead a new team of digital video and field producers that will produce original content for the station. She has 25 years of leadership in digital media, streaming, and broadcasting from Han Wapner Media. Han also takes experience from CNN as the vice president of weekly programs at CNN+, NowThisMedia as the EVP of news, a senior producer at CBS This Morning, and 11 years at ABC News.
Charlamagne tha God
Streaming: Variety highlighted the career of Lenard Larry McKelvey, or Charlamagne tha God, and his impact/empire the radio and television host created. Charlamagne is known as the co-founder of The Breakfast Club on New York's 105.1 with Dj Envy and Angela Yea, where they gained national recognition for the interviews and discussions on hip-hop and pop culture. This allowed Charlamagne and his co-hosts to be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2020. Recently, he has hosted Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God, Charlamagne & Friends, and Hell of a Week with Charlamagne tha God. In addition, Charlamagne and iHeartMedia partnered in 2020 to found the Black Effect Podcast Network to amplify Black voices within the industry.
