Media Stats: 'Basketball Wives' Outscore VH1 Programs, Olympic Programs Struck Viewership Gold

Docusoap: In August, Basketball Wives continued to outscore all other VH1 programs, and remained the most-watched program on its network. Basketball Wives rose from 310,000 monthly viewers on August 5th to 375,000 viewers by its last episode of the month on August 26th.

Love After Lockup experienced a slight viewer decline throughout August, falling by nearly 20,000 viewers by the month’s end. The We TV program began the month with 346,000 monthly viewers on August 2nd and finished with 328,000 on August 30th. Despite its skid, Love After Lockup remains in first place above all We TV programs.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta recorded its lowest rating in the past year with its August 20th episode, which had 267,000 monthly viewers. It was the first time the reality program had slipped below 300,000 viewers for an episode since August 2023. The MTV program recovered its viewership quickly, however, rising to 378,000 monthly viewers by the following episode.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville pulled in 252,000 monthly viewers in August. Real Housewives of Dubai recorded its second-highest rating for its second season. After the season premiere on June 2nd earned 404,000 monthly viewers, the second-highest rated episode of the season was recorded on August 13th with 358,000 monthly viewers.

Big brother - cbs 

Contestant: America’s Got Talent dropped to eighth place in top NBC programs. It recorded its highest viewership count of the month with 4.994 million viewers for its August 13th episode. With the return of American football, all NBC programs have dropped several places.

Big Brother experienced many highs and lows as it progressed through its 26th season, capturing 3.183 million monthly viewers on August 29th. Viewership increased during August for Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out. The VH1 program became the network’s third most-watched program after it drew in 161,000 monthly viewers on August 26th.

Judge steve harvey 

Court: Judge Steve Harvey recorded its highest rating of the year on August 13th, rallying 2.211 million monthly viewers for the episode.

Sports: 87% of Comcast active household subscribers tuned into Olympic programs. Most viewers were focused on the programs Paris Prime and Primetime in Paris. The information was revealed a month after Comcast’s NBCUniversal division confirmed that its primetime coverage of the Summer Olympics averaged 30.6 million viewers across all platforms, totaling 23.5 billion minutes of streaming time. NBC viewership was up 82% from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021 after scheduling setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Peacock pulled a 25% increase in its total shares of US TV viewing and a 33% increase in total usage. NBC’s X1 daytime and primetime coverage were up 78% from the national average. Comcast also recorded interactions with Olympic product features from 65% of X1 customers.
