Roku Wins Advanced Advertising Innovation Award For Branded Content With ‘The Show Next Door’

The Roku-produced streaming series The Show Next Door, which is sponsored by Maker's Mark, was named the winner of the 2022 Advanced Advertising Innovation Award for Branded Content. The program, hosted by Randall Park, debuted in July 2021 for no cost on the Roku Channel and on all of Marker's Mark social media platforms.

Each episode's introductory monologue is started by the actor-comedian preparing a cocktail in his "living room." In essence, The Show Next Door is a weekly talk show where Park conducts amusing interviews with celebrities, athletes, artists, and other guests. In September 2021, The Show Next Door climbed to No. 7 on The Roku Channel, increasing Maker's Mark's brand favorability by 25%. The program comes from the Roku Brand Studio, which was established in Spring 2022 as a result of the company's recent acquisition of the Chris Bruss-led branded entertainment team from Funny Or Die. In a statement, Park emphasized his ambition to host a talk show and that he was thrilled by the show's surge in popularity since he started.

The Advanced Advertising Innovation Awards will be presented at the Advanced Advertising Summit in New York on September 12, 2022.
