Korean American Margaret Cho will host GLAAD’s 34th Annual Media Awards in Los Angeles. Stars set to receive honors include Christina Aguilera, Bad Bunny, and Jeremy Pope among others.

Cho is a Grammy and Emmy-nominated singer, activist, and entrepreneur whose films and television appearances include The Flight Attendant, Stand Out: An LGBTQ Celebration, Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin: Ladies Night Live, Fire Island, and the upcoming Disney+ film Prom Pact. She is well-known for her stand-up routines that criticize social and political issues, particularly those concerning race and sexuality. Cho has consistently advocated for LGBTQ+ rights and has received recognition for her humanitarian work on behalf of women, Asian Americans, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Aguilera will take home the Advocate for Change Award for her activism surrounding HIV and LGBTQ+ issues. Bad Bunny will be given GLAAD’s Vanguard Award which is presented annually by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. The distinction places him in the company of former honorees like as Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Janet Jackson. Pope will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, which recognizes LGBTQ media professionals who have enhanced queer visibility and acceptance through their work. Fletcher and Peck, along with Anitta, Demi Lovato, Hayley Kiyoko, Honey Dijon, and Rina Sawayama, have been nominated for GLAAD's music artist award.

The GLAAD Media Awards will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Beverly Hilton. The ceremony will stream on Hulu beginning April 12, 2023.
