Daytime Emmy POC Soap Opera Nominee Preview Reels
As previously reported the 47th Daytime Emmy nominations are out, and the previous awards season soap-related nominees reels were not released for the public to see. However, this year the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) has introduced the category nominees reel featuring clips from all the nominees. These reels are usually saved for the actual awards ceremony. Yet, given the times we are in NATAS has decided to re-release them. Below are the reels feature people of color nominees Sasha Calle (Lola Rosales, The Young and the Restless), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton, The Young and the Restless), Christel Kahlil (Lily Winters, The Young and the Restless), Eva LaRue (Celeste Rosales, The Young and the Restless), and Thia Megia (Haley Chen, Days of our Lives).
