Critics Choice Documentary Awards Nominations

Nominees for the 7th annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards have been announced. The Critics Choice Documentary Awards are accolades that the Critics Choice Association presents to honor the finest achievements in documentary filmmaking and non-fiction television.

Sidney, a documentary about the career and political activism of the first Black male Oscar winner and famed actor, garners the most nominations for a person of color-themed documentary with three nominations. Aftershock and Descendant took home two nominations for person of color-themed documentaries. Winners will be announced on Sunday, November 13, 2022., and the ceremony will take place at The Edison Ballroom in New York City.
