The 73th Annual BAFTA Awards took place on February 2nd, 2020. As previously reported, there were a total of 25 people of color and POC-themed projects nominated across 14 awards categories. 

During the ceremony, the following people of color and POC-themed projects took home the award.

Film Not In English Language: Parasite continues its winning streak taking home the non-English language award of the night.

Original Screenplay: Bong Joon Ho and Jin Won Han underline the idea that with this win that not all good writing is served in queen's English.

Adapted Screenplay: Taika Waititi put the right comedic nuances in the script for Jojo Rabbit based on the book Caging Skies by Christine Leunens to create a cinematic masterpiece.

British Short Animation: Maryam Mohajer was able to convey a message of generational history and romance through her short film Grandad Was a Romantic.

Animated Film: Sergio Pablos and Jinko Gotoh put a new spin on a tale about ST. Nick in the feature-length animated film Klaus.

EE Rising Star Award: The British-Jamaican actor Micheal Ward is making waves and receiving critical acclaim for his roles in television crime drama Topboy and the thriller The A List. Plus, he's received praise for his principal role in the British crime film Blue Story.
