50th Annual Daytime Emmy Nominations

The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards nominations are out. The Daytime Emmy Awards is an award bestowed by NATAS in recognition of excellence in American daytime television programming. Leading the nominations is the drama series General Hospital leads with 19 nominations with The Bold and the Beautiful in second place with 14.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 16, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast live by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, June 16, on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
NOMINATION BREAKDOWN
Notes:
Diverse refers to programming that has a mix of people from various racial/ethnic backgrounds as a part of the cast or as hosts and correspondents.
While there were nominations for diverse programming featuring Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islanders as a part of the diverse cast or as a cohost or correspondent. Five nominations represented an individual Asian/AAPI as an actor or host of a series from 2022.
Among Hispanic/Latino programming nominated there was a smaller mix of programming featuring Hispanic Americans at the center (three) and Hispanic Americans as a part of diverse programming.
One nomination went to a specific Middle Eastern host and other Middle Easterns were featured among diverse series nominations.
There was no specific programming nominated featuring Native Americans. People of other non-white ethnicities were slightly visible as a part of a diverse cast or host and correspondents’ positions.
The predominant non-white nominations went to those from the African American community or those from Black immigrant backgrounds.
