38th Annual Independent Spirit Awards Nominations

Nominees for the 38th Annual Independent Spirit Awards have been revealed. The Independent Spirit Awards will premiere on March 4, 2023, at the beach by the Santa Monica Pier. Each year, the Independent Spirit Awards brings top talent from the world of independent film and television. In addition to traditional categories such as Best Feature and Best Director, the Spirit Awards features a number of unique honors such as Best First Screenplay and the John Cassavetes Award (best feature under $1 million). Last year, the show introduced five new categories honoring outstanding TV storytelling and performances. Acting categories are gender-neutral for the first time and the ceremony will be streamed internationally on multiple online and digital platforms, according to Film Independent. Everything Everywhere All At Once (A24) leads with eight nominations.
