Amazon Prime Video and ARD have acquired the distribution rights to The Morning After. The series was created by Thierry Cassuto and Karen Jeynes (Recipes for Love and Murder). The show stars Amara Okereke, an aspiring singer from the U.K. who gets adopted by a group of misfits after she washes up one morning 6,000 miles from home with gaps in her memory.
MultiChoice Nigeria is hiking the prices of DStv and GOtv subscribers for a third time this year. The new pricing will come into effect on November 6.MultiChoice has not given a reason for the price hike, only citing economic hardship.
Recipes for Love and Murder on M-Net (DStv 101) has been renewed for a second season. Recipes for Love and Murder is based on the novel Recipes for Love and Murder: A Tannie Maria Mystery by Sally Andrew and follows a murder mystery around a recipe advice columnist for a small-town newspaper.
MultiChoice is removing the Da Vinci kids channel from DStv on 14 November. The decision comes after a review by a Randburg-based pay-TV operator. The channel, run by Macadamia, will be removed after three years.

Asia: DaMou Entertainment and KOKO Entertainment unveiled the cast for Fired Up, their remake of the Korean series Itaewon Class. The series will star Eric Chou, Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, Huang Guan-zhi, Cosmos Lin, Ben Wu, and Sean Lin in leading roles. The show is co-directed by Kao Pin-Chuan and Tseng Ying-Ting, with a screen adaptation by Chien Li-Ying (Wave Makers).

The new Philippines anime franchise Solemn Vow has set several partnerships across Southeast Asia. The franchise created by Lawrence Panganiban has set partnerships with Philippines-based Enigma Kai, Fire and Ice, Singapore-based Anito Studios and Silver Media, and Toei Animation Phils., Inc. The series follows parents who try to fix their marriage after the death of their young son. It is set in a magical world inspired by the myths and legends of the Philippines.

Latin America: Globo has sold international adaptation rights of Brazil Avenue (Avenida Brasil) to Ay Yapım in Turkey. The agreement allows Ay Yapım to make changes as long as it stays true to the telenovela’s story.
Middle East: CJ ENM has entered a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabian content company Manga Productions. The deal includes co-producing and distributing animation, TV series, films, webtoons, and infrastructure.
