Broadcast: All American is the critically acclaimed CW drama about a young Black football player moving from south LA to Beverly Hills and reaching for his dream of one day playing in the NFL, inspired by the true story of NFL player Spencer Paysinger. This new CW drama was recently picked up for a fourth season back in January. While currently in a hiatus until the season finale and suffering from the overall loss of viewers to streaming and mobile platforms. It is performing well on new air days it fails to bring in return viewers or those viewing reruns, but it makes up for it because of its audience growing up 20% since being added to Netflix after season one, according to the TV Rating Guide, it has still grown by over 14% since this time last year with an average viewership of 0.755 and with an 18-49 viewership at 0.27 with a peak of 0.39. All American continues to bring a captivating new drama that isn’t involved with superheroes to the CW’s airtime. The big broadcast networks have been attempting to push more inclusive shows to the forefront of their comedy lineup. The Young Rock, based on the life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson chronicles his childhood, college football career, and his eventual ascension to super-stardom, all packed into a sit-com format. The show was performing well at the beginning of the season with a 1.01 in the 18-49 demographic, but ratings soon began to plateau and fall in the weeks since according to the TV Ratings Guide with the newest episode down to 0.48. Kenan, another comedy centered around a morning show anchor(Kenan Thompson)  who is trying to move past the trauma in his life by moving, to live with his father-in-law (Don Johnson) and his brother (Chris Redd). Overall it seems as if NBC is planning on sticking with these critically favored, yet underperforming comedies, as a staple in their Thursday comedy lineup as they were both renewed for a second season.
