Docuseries: Iyanla Vanzant from Iyanla: Fix My Life returned to the Oprah Winfrey Network with a two-hour series premiere the night of Halloween. The seventh season featured reality star Shay Johnson during the premiere and will also feature comedian Luenell as a guest. This will be the award-winning spiritual life coach’s last season with the show. Vanzant is dubbed as an inspirational speaker who has also written books.
Gustavo Mello and Mari Nunes have created a Netflix Original called A Queen Is Born. The hosts of A Queen is Born are Gloria Groove and Alexia Twister. The show will consist of a new Brazilian reality TV format, which is something new to Netflix. Gloria Groove has done voice acting in the past and has acted in Record TV’s “telenovels savage”. Alexia Twister acted in Romeu and Romeu (2016) and Drag Me Like A Queen (2017).
Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be returning to Bravo on December 6. Returning housewives include Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, and Kenya Moore. Drew Sidora is the new housewife for this season. Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam also return to the show. LaToya Ali will also be joining Season 13 as well. In the show, three Twitch streamers are paired with three successful, famous Twitch streamers who will be their ‘coaches:’ AnneMunition, ActionJaxon, and Gold Glove. Amazon has already been involved with Twitch marketing, especially through skin releases on the popular battle royale Fortnite. Jordan Fisher from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before was also a special guest on the show. The series will give the three contestants exposure, prizes, and an opportunity to become professional video gamers.
Big Brother (US)’s 22nd season has come to a close. The All-Stars season series finale took place on October 28. CBS has confirmed Big Brother for a 23rd season. Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality competition game show again. The show has experienced an increase in viewership in 2020. Jeannie Mai is exiting the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars after a major health concern. She has been diagnosed with epiglottitis and has since been hospitalized. Mai’s pro dance partner in the show was Brandon Armstrong. Because of Mai’s early leave, the show sent one pair home instead of two. Jeannie Mai is best known for her work on How Do I Look? and on the talk show The Real.
