Media Stats: ‘Big Brother’ Makes A Strong Return, ‘Password’ Records Over 3 Million

Docusoap: Basketball Wives started July off with a rating of 209,000 monthly viewers. The VH1 program improved steadily with each aired episode, finishing the month with 296,000 monthly viewers. The Real Housewives of Dubai increased steadily in viewership throughout July, finishing the month with 305,000 monthly viewers as the sixth most-watched Bravo series.

Love After Lockup saw a slight decrease in viewership between June and July despite taking 1st place as the most-watched series on We TV. The program left June with 341,000 monthly viewers but fell to 308,000 in July. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta conjured 323,000 monthly viewers in July, sitting 2nd on MTV’s most-watched programs. Viewership has continuously declined since January, when Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta started the year with over 450,000 viewers. Love & Marriage: Huntsville was watched by 266,000 viewers and is seated in first place as OWN’s most-watched series this July.

Contestant: America’s Got Talent continued its trend of dramatic highs and lows. It began the month with 5.249 million monthly viewers on July 2nd and didn’t reach above 5 million again until its July 23rd episode, which surpassed the month’s highest rating, earning 5.330 million viewers. The contestant series flaunted its popularity as the 4th most-watched NBC program.

Big Brother coasted through July, consistently snuggling close to the 2.5 million viewers mark with each aired episode. The CBS program left July with 2.717 million monthly viewers and is the second most-watched series on the network.

Family Feud wracked up 6.807 million monthly viewers in July, though its viewership has slightly declined (since January) when it pulled in over 8 million viewers. Regardless of the lower view count, it is the 2nd most-watched series on Syndication behind Jeopardy. Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out kicked its 21st season off with 158,000 monthly viewers, taking second place behind Basketball Wives in the top VH1 programs.

Password earned 3.121 million viewers on July 23rd, recording its fifth episode to receive over 3 million in the last three months. After receiving below 2.5 million viewers consistently in April, the trend of over 3 million flaunts an impressive improvement.

Court: Judge Steve Harvey began July with 2.142 million monthly viewers with the continuation of its second season. Though viewership decreased below 2 million as the month went on, the ABC program displayed a subtle increase toward the 2 million mark.
