Hard Numbers: 'Symone' Falls To 29th Spot On MSNBC & 'The Chris Salcedo Show' Is Up
Docusoap: Love & Marriage Huntsville’s season 6 is currently underway. The new season premiered on April 10 starting off the season with 288,000 viewers; its lowest viewer count to date. Episode 2 made up for the low season starter increasing by 65,000 viewers, making episode 2, so far, the season high. Episode 4, thus far, is the season’s low with a total of 232,000. To date, the average for season 6 is 299,000.
Love & Marriage DC season 2 premiere had a disappointing start with only 247,000 viewers as opposed to season 1’s 357,000. The seasons high managed 306,000 viewers but still couldn’t surpass season 1’s numbers. Season 2 finished with an average total of 227,000 viewers.
Basketball Wives had a stable tenth season. Season 10A premiered an average of 517,000, an audience high of 549,000, low of 412,000 viewers, and finale of 591,000. In comparison, season 10B premiered with 505,000 viewers, a low of 316,000, and finale of 371,000. Looking at the stats; season 10A fared better in terms of numbers compared to season 10B dropping -50,000 to -100,000 viewers per episode. The newest season, 10B, averaged a total of 426,000 viewers.
Contestant: In the month of April, syndication seems to be in a state of confusion. Family Feud had a rating of 4.6%; a total U.S. TV household of 5,694,122 – down 4% from last month. Funny You Should Ask stayed at a constant 0.3% NC [no change] with a total U.S. TV household of 371,356.
Court: Hot Bench continues to be in the hot seat dropping 8% to a 1.1 household rating, amounting to a TV household of 1,361,638 for the month of April. People’s Court on the other hand is on fire, surging 14%; moving on to reach 990,282 total TV households. Judge Mathis and Divorce Court showed no change stabilizing at 0.5 reaching only 618,926 U.S. TV households. Relative Justice and We the People with Judge Lauren Lake fought for last place with a 0.3% rating, accumulating a total of 371,356 TV households.
News & Politics: Alex Wagner Tonight is moving up the ranks at MSNBC. Moving from the fifth most popular show to the third, Wagner has made monumental strides increasing +23% from last month’s [March] average of 1.265 million to [April] 1.418 million viewers. The ReidOut continues to be MSNBC’s 7th most popular show averaging an audience for the month of April totaling 1.333 million, an increase of 190,000 viewers from last month. Nightly News with Lestor Holt continues to set the bar whilst holding the #1 spot on NBC averaging a monthly 6.429 million. April’s average is 705,000 viewers less in comparison to March’s numbers.
Fox News: The Faulkner Focus dropped 0.2% in ratings during the month of April averaging a total audience of 1.509 million – a 38,000 drop in viewers since March. Faulkner is closing in on Outnumbered for the 11th spot on Fox. Outnumbered’s overall April viewership came out 1.619 million with a consistent rating of 0.52. On the Fox Business channel, Making Money with Charles Payne is close to dropping from the 8th most popular show to the 9th garnering only 146,000 viewers in April.
Just like 8am in New York City, NewsNation: Rush Hour’s rating is in and out of traffic; daily ratings fluctuated hitting a high of 145,000 viewers to a low of 71,000; summing up to a monthly average audience of 112,000 by the end of the month. Morning in America also ended April off with a total audience of 35,000. The Chris Salcedo Show upped its total audience [210,000] in April by 54,000 in comparison to last month’s numbers. This increase is gradually closing the gap between The Chris Salcedo Show and National Report, the later leading by 3,000 viewers for the #8 spot on Newsmax.
Views spiked, for good and for bad, across the board for MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News. American Voices with Alicia Menendez viewership peeked at the height of this coverage, but eventually dwindled down through the weeks of April averaging out to an audience viewership of 465,000. Ayman followed the same format, accumulating only 606,000 viewers, almost a 100,000 boost from last month’s numbers. After being on the upside, The Katie Phang Show reverted back to its usual style of instability finish April with a total viewership of 459,000. The Mehdi Hasan Show showed major progression by increasing from 100,000+ viewers to a monthly viewership of 543,000.
The MSNBC battle royale for most popular shows continues featuring Yasmin Vossoughian Reports, who took over PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton’s spot at #23, averaging a P2+ household viewership of 522,000. PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton dropped to the 26th spot on MSNBC averaging 485,000 viewers; The Saturday Show with Jonathon Capehart continues to be on the rise moving to the Top 20; averaging 561,000 viewers; The Sunday Show with Jonathon Capehart improved to an average of 501,000 viewers; a 30,000+ increase from last month. Velshi didn’t make much progress during the month of April stabilizing at a total of 613,000 viewers; in last place Symone fell to the 29th spot, due its constant decline since the ending of March, with an average viewership of 441,000.
Inside Politics with John King continues to close the gap to joining the Top 10 ranks at CNN; monthly ratings for P2+ in April accumulated 629,000 total audience viewers. Lawrence Jones Cross Country seem to be going head-to-head against Fox News at Night with Trace Gallagher for the #27 spot on Fox News; will Jones push ahead with its 952,000 viewership or will the later take home the prize? Talk Shows: Dropping to second place, Entertainment Tonight lost the tie to Inside Edition, remaining unchanged at 2.1%; a total U.S. TV household of 2,599,490. Tied for third, Access Hollywood and TMZ find common ground at 0.7%, reaching 866,497 households – 13% less than last month. In last place, Dish Nation didn’t seem to have enough content to dish out; 0.2 NC [247,571] U.S. TV households were reached.
Sherri, still the leader of the pack, flatlined at 0.7 [866,497 total TV households], following Jennifer Hudson standing firm at 0.6 [742,712 total TV households]. Close behind, Karamo continues to elevate reaching 618,926 total TV households with a 0.5 rating, increasing 25% from last month. Tamron Hall also made great progress jumping to a 0.8 rating equivaled to 990,282 total TV households for the month of April, a 14% increase.
