News (Daily – Broadcast): As of December 24th, CBS Mornings jumped into the network’s No. 11 spot, drawing 2.223 million viewers. Meanwhile, Good Morning America moved into the No. 8 spot among ABC's most popular programs, attracting 2.922 million viewers for its most recent episode. NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt is now the No.1 program on the network and No. 7 among all TV programs. Following behind is The Today Show, which ranked No. 2 on NBC and No. 24 for all TV programs. NBC News Daily rose to the No. 14 most popular show on the network, with a total viewership of 1.232 million.
News (Weekend – Broadcast): Despite hitting a record low of 3.437 million viewers for its last episode in December, CBS's 60 Minutes ranked No. 3 on the network and No. 15 amongst all TV programs. On the contrary, Meet the Press with Kristen Welker failed to rank among NBC's most popular shows, with 2.692 million viewers as of December 10th. Dateline NBC's latest viewership landed at 1.68 million, ranking No. 11 on the network at the end of December.
News & Politics (Daily – Cable): Alex Wagner Tonight is the fourth most popular program on MSNBC; it ranked No. 98 among all programs, with 1.009 million viewers as of December 28th. The ReidOut (with Joy Reid) followed in the No. 5 spot with its latest viewership of 987,000 until December. 28. The Faulkner Focus is Fox News’s 11th most popular TV show, with 1.476 million viewers . At the same time, Outnumbered ranked No. 8 on the channel; this is despite its Christmas episode hitting a low of 962,000 viewers. NewsNation’s Morning in America is ranked No. 6, recently receiving a total viewership of 40,000. At the end of December, Making Money with Charles Payne was the No. 7 program on Fox Business with 122,000 viewers, while CNN's Laura Coates Live was No. 17 in cable with 367,000 viewers.
News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): On MSNBC, The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart jumped from No. 16 to No. 15 with 499,000 viewers. While American Voices with Alicia Menendez rose from No. 26 to No. 16, Velshi remained at No. 17 spot. Yasmin Vossoughian Reports moved from No. 23 to No. 18. The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart garnered 383,000 viewers, dropping from the No. 19 spot to the No. 20 spot. These five programs dominated the network's Top 20. Besides these programs, Ayman dropped from No. 18 to No. 23, while PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton stalled at No. 24. As MSNBC's 28th most popular program, Symone reached 217,000 total viewers. Finally, The Katie Phang Show accumulated 466,000 viewers until December 17th.
Talk Show: On ABC, GMA3: What You Need to Know rose from No. 20 to No. 17 during December, with 1.323 million viewers. As of December 17th, The View had 2.221 million total viewers, Today with Hoda and Jenna had 1.519 million total viewers, and Today 3rd Hour had 2.01 million total viewers.
Sports: Pardon the Interruption nabbed the No. 6 spot on ESPN, amassing 754,000 viewers by the end of December. Meanwhile, the latest episode of First Take, ESPN’s 10th most popular show, was watched by 580,000 viewers.
