Hard Numbers: 'NBC Nightly News' Falls To Second, 'Faulkner Focus' Two Million In Two Weeks

News (Daily – Broadcast): CBS Mornings rallied 1.999 million monthly viewers this June, falling below their monthly average of 2.1 million viewers for the first time this year. They received a low rating of 1.936 million on June 16th; it's the lowest rating the program has received this year. The program ranks No. 15 on Top CBS Shows. Similarly throughout June, Good Morning America faced a steady decline in viewers, recording its lowest rating this year on its June 30th program with 2.645 million.

NBC News Daily ended the month with 1.179 million, showing an increase in viewers with each program despite showing lesser numbers than in May. The Today Show ended the month with 2.578 million monthly viewers after facing a decline in viewership. Regardless, The Today Show pulls ahead to No. 9 whereas NBC News Daily holds No. 16 in top NBC programs. Ahead of both shows in 2nd place sits NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Though Lester Holt’s program received slightly fewer views in June than in May – with their lowest rating this year falling on June 9th with 5.467 million – the program sits only behind the Olympic Trials, and ahead of every other program on NBC.

David Muir and Deborah Roberts - 20/20/abc

News (Weekend – Broadcast): 20/20 ratings declined, ending the month with 2.490 million on their June 28th program. Dateline’s viewership has climbed back to 2.674 million in June since receiving ratings below 1 million, their lowest rating in the past year, on May 26th.

Harris faulkner - faulkner focus/fox news

News & Politics (Daily – Cable): Despite receiving their highest rating of the past year with 3.508 million views on May 30th, Alex Wagner Tonight produced less than 1 million viewers for all but two episodes in June. The program finished the month on June 28th with 806,000 monthly viewers. The Chris Salcedo Show maintains No. 5 on Newsmax’s most-watched program with 317,000 monthly viewers. Faulkner Focus recorded 2.072 million viewers on June 11th, marking the second time this year that the program reached over 2 million views. The program finished June with an average of 1.686 million monthly viewers. Outnumbered continues to maintain No. 8, only two spots ahead of Faulkner Focus, on Fox News top programs. Outnumbered earned a rating of 1.733 million monthly viewers in June.

Laura Coates Live fluctuated in viewership, though it finished the month with 383,000 monthly viewers, maintaining No. 12 in CNN’s most-watched programs. Making Money With Charles Payne landed 137,000 monthly viewers. Morning in America saw its lowest rating with the June 30th program with 25,000 viewers; it's the least monthly viewers the program has earned this year. The ReidOut reached a height of viewership on May 30th with 3.417 million but has since waned. They fluctuated around 1 million throughout June but held to No. 5 on top MSNBC programs with 1.221 million monthly viewers.

Ayman Mohyeldin - Ayman/msnbc

News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): MSNBC’s Ayman earned its height of monthly viewers on June 1st with 641,000. The series' viewership waned through the weeks following, with most ratings slipping below 450,000 views. First of All With Victor Blackwell recorded its lowest average audience rating of the past six months on June 29th with 326,000 views. Inside Politics had an average audience of 682,000 on the June 3rd broadcast; the program’s monthly viewers fluctuated for the remainder of June. The Katie Phang Show had 750,000 monthly viewers on the June 1st broadcast, displaying a continuation from the previous month in the program’s climbing viewership. MSNBC’s PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton recorded its highest audience of the last three months on June 1st with 723,000 viewers. Similarly, MSNBC’s Velshi averaged 837,000 monthly viewers on June 1st, the peak of viewership for the program this month.

The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart rallied 612,000 viewers, the most viewers of the month, on its June 1st broadcast. The following day, The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart rallied 516,000 viewers, the most viewers of the month, on its June 2nd broadcast.

Eva Pilgrim, DeMarco Morgan, and and Jennifer Ashton - GMA3: What You Need to Know/abc

Talk Show: GMA3: What You Need to Know averaged 1.290 million views on June 23rd after facing a decrease in viewers throughout the month. In contrast, The Tamron Hall Show faced an increase in viewers, averaging 947,000 monthly viewers on June 9th.

NBC’s Today Third Hour had its lowest rating of the past three months with 1.746 million on June 9th. Today Hoda and Jenna had its lowest rating of the past three months on June 9th with 1.294 million viewers. Both programs’ ratings increased through the end of June. On ABC’s Top 15, The View claimed No. 6, finishing the month on June 23rd with a rating of 2.336 million viewers.

Molly Qerim and Stephen a. smith - first take/espn

Sports: ESPN’s First Take averaged 501,000 monthly viewers on June 13th. Pardon the Interruption averaged 542,000 monthly viewers on June 13th. Both sports programs fluctuated in viewership throughout the month.
