Hard Numbers: ‘GMA3’ Soared, ‘The Katie Phang Show’ Hit Second-Highest Record Since June

News (Daily – Broadcast): For January, CBS Mornings averaged 2.292 million in P2+ viewers, with a 0.73 demo rating. Good Morning America pulled in 384,000 and 581,000 viewers in the P18-49 and P25-54 demographics, respectively. As of February 4th, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt ranked No. 1 on the network, averaging 7.3 million P2+ viewers in the first month of this year. Meanwhile, The Today Show is the No. 11 program on NBC, with an average P2+ audience of 2.864 million viewers. Ratings for NBC News Daily have risen steadily over the past month. The episode aired on January 21st re-broke the program’s record of more than 1.4 million viewers.

Kristen welker - Meet the Press with Kristen Welker/nbc

News (Weekend – Broadcast): CBS's 60 Minutes attracted 4.973 million viewers as of January 14th. Meet the Press with Kristen Welker saw a constant decline in viewers in January, accumulating an average audience of 2.616 million viewers in the P2+ category. Dateline NBC is ranked 13th on the network, with 2.485 million viewers as of February 2nd.

News & Politics (Daily – Cable): In January, The ReidOut (with Joy Reid) averaged 1.304 million P2+ viewers; as of February 5th, it is MSNBC’s No. 6 ranking program. Alex Wagner Tonight delivered an average of 1.311 million viewers in the P2+ demographic Currently, it is the eighth most popular program on MSNBC and 121st among all programs. Hosted by Harris Kimberley Faulkner, The Faulkner Focus hit a record-low audience of 671,000 viewers on January 14th; in the P2+ group, an average of 1.613 million people tuned in.  Switching to Fox News, Outnumbered drew in an average of 1.69 million P2+ viewers, ranking No. 8 on the channel. NewsNation’s Morning in America averaged 34,000 viewers in the P2+ category, whereas CNN's Laura Coates Live averaged 357,000 viewers. Finally, Fox Business’s Making Money with Charles Payne received an average of 149,000 P2+ viewers. 

Katie phang - The Katie Phang Show/MSNBC

News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): The No. 15 show on MSNBC, The Katie Phang Show, drew in 716,000 viewers on January 20th, hitting the second-highest record of the past six months. Ayman was ranked 21st on MSNBC; its episode on January 28th amassed 294,000 viewers, the lowest in a year. The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart is currently ranked 22nd among MSNBC programs, with only 406,000 viewers for the January 20th episode. The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart followed in the No. 23 spot on cable, with its January 14th episode garnering just 308,000 viewers. American Voices with Alicia Menendez averaged 376,000 viewers for the latest episode on January 7th. Yasmin Vossoughian Reports hit a record high since the end of October, with 584,000 viewers on January 6th. PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton is currently the 25th most popular show on cable, while Symone was watched by an average of 376,000 viewers on January 7th. 

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager - Today with Hoda and Jenna/NBC

Talk Show: GMA3: What You Need to Know soared in January, hitting a record high of 1.612 million viewers on ABC. The View also saw a slight uptick in ratings, with its most recent episode drawing in 2.581 million viewers. NBC’s Today with Hoda and Jenna gathered over 1.6 million viewers for both episodes in January, while Today 3rd Hour attracted more than 2 million.

Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon - Pardon the interruption/espn

Sports: Pardon the Interruption fell to the eighth most popular show on ESPN. As of  February 5th, the show averaged 720,000 viewers. First Take was ESPN’s No. 13 program. It set a new record with the January 15th episode, receiving 1.516 million viewers.
