Hard Numbers: Fox continues to reach peaks, ‘Inside Politics’ returns with low viewership

Cable News Networks: CNBC continues to rise in ranking to the 51st most popular channel, and during primetime on February 16, 2025, the channel averaged 126,000 viewers. CNN rose to the 13th most popular channel on TV recording and peaked at 883,000 average viewers at the end of the month on February 28, 2025.

Fox Business Network has seen a decrease in viewership and ranking to the 57th most popular channel in February, seeing a low of 119,000 average viewers on February 16, 2025. Fox News Channel continued to be the second most-watched channel, garnering a peak of 4.571 million viewers on February 18, 2025.

MSNBC increased to the fourth most popular show and peaked at an average of 1.683 million viewers on February 24, 2025. Newsmax TV is ranked the seventh most popular channel and peaked at 318,000 viewers on February 2, 2025. NewsNation ranked as the 60th most-viewed channel and averaged 121,000 viewers on February 2, 2025.

News (Daily - Broadcast): ABC News Nightline averaged 819,000 viewers on February 16, 2025.CBS Morning, the 79th most popular show on TV peaked its viewership to 2.131 million average viewers. 

NBC News Daily reached an average viewership of 1.350 million viewers on January 12, 2025. Good Morning America continued to increase viewership and reached a peak of 1.350 million viewers in February on the 23rd. Entertainment Tonight peaked at 3.100 million viewers on February 23, 2025

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt increased its viewership from December by averaging 7.379 viewers on February 23, 2025. The Today Show peaked at a total of 2.772 million on February 23, 2025

News (Weekend - Broadcast): ABC’s 20/20 peaked in February at 2.600 million viewers on February 14, 2025. 60 Minutes ended the month with a daily audience measurement of 6.826 million viewers on February 23, 2025.

Dateline NBC saw a decrease in viewership from last month, dropping to 2.194 million viewers; Meet the Press with Kristen Welker saw a slight increase in viewership having a daily audience measurement of 2.637 million viewers on February 16, 2025.

News & Politics (Daily – Cable): CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip continues to be the ninth most popular show on CNN, reaching a peak viewership of 853,000 on February 28, 2025. CNN’s Laura Coates Live saw a huge increase in viewership to 525,000 viewers on February 28, 2025.

Fox’s Outnumbered continues to reach its highest viewership with 2.528 viewers on February 28, 2025. MSNBC’s The ReidOut drastically increased its viewership to 1.690 million viewers. In addition, Fox’s Faulkner Focus ruled February with 2.447 million viewers.

The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart saw an increase in views peaking at 617,000 on February 1, 2025. The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart saw an increase in viewership averaging 484,000 on February 2, 2025.

MSNBC’s PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton continues to increase viewership, having 628,000 on February 2, 2025. Inside Politics returned to television and saw a decline in viewership with an average of 266,000 viewers on February 16, 2025
