Contestant: Over the month of April, American Idol has held steadily high ratings, averaging 0.72 in the 18-49 demo and 5.379 million viewers in the 8:00 pm slot on ABC. The lowest ratings came during the showing of the Grammys, which is an expected drop. Aside from that, it has been successful so far, ranked between the 7th to 5th spot in the finals of the Sunday broadcast ratings.

CBS got into the dance competition game with their new program Come Dance With Me, a family competition series hosted by Philip Lawrence with judges Jenna Dewan, Tricia Miranda, and Dexter Mayfield. It shows highly talented young dancers from across the country dancing with an untrained relative (or another adult who has supported their dance pursuits) for the chance to win a grand prize. The first two episodes—the first premiering on April 15—how garnered relatively low ratings, with the season average currently at 0.24 in the demo and 2.243 million viewers.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 had many victories in the ratings. The season finale, despite garnering lower ratings than the previous season’s, was Friday’s #1 telecast in the P18-4 and @18-35 demos, and it also surpassed the season averages for the P18-34 demo and total viewers. As a whole, the season produced an 8% increase in the P18-34 demo from season 13. Over April, in the Friday original cable finals, season 14 averaged 0.21 in the 18-49 demo and 592,000 viewers.
