Hard Numbers: ‘60 Minutes’ Strikes A Season High, ‘Meet the Press’ Quickly Recovers Plummeting Views
Cable News Network: CNBC is currently the 62nd most-watched channel on TV. The network earned an average weekly audience of 95,000 on October 20th. CNN is currently the 12th most-watched channel on TV and is watched by 821,000 viewers during primetime according to a daily audience measurement taken on October 31st.
Fox Business Network is the 58th most-watched channel on TV. As of October 20th, the network has an average weekly audience of 105,000 viewers. Fox News Channel is currently the third most-watched channel on TV and recorded an average daily audience of 3.262 million viewers during primetime on October 31st.
MSNBC is currently the seventh most-watched channel on TV with an average daily audience of 1.535 million viewers during primetime (recorded on October 31st). Newsmax TV is the 20th most-watched network on TV and is watched by 542,000 viewers during primetime according to a daily audience measurement taken on October 29th. NewsNation is the 68th most-watched network on TV and is watched by 80,000 viewers during primetime according to a weekly measurement taken on October 20th.
News (Daily – Broadcast): ABC News Nightline finished October with 843,000 monthly viewers. Though CBS Mornings improved its ratings throughout September (recording two of its highest ratings of the past three months), the program fell to 1.888 million monthly viewers by October 27th. The program experienced declining ratings for every episode aired. Its October 27th episode marked the lowest ratings CBS Mornings has received over three months.
Good Morning America recorded its highest viewership of three months with 2.807 million monthly viewers on October 27th. NBC News Daily reached a new peak with its highest rating of 1.265 million monthly viewers on October 13th. This is the most views an episode has received since January 21st when the program pulled in 1.439 million viewers.
Nightly News with Lester Holt pulled in 5.846 million viewers on October 27th. Viewership for the NBC program remained consistent throughout the month. The Today Show’s viewership also remained consistent. The program consistently pulled in around 2.5 million for each aired episode, ending the month with 2.552 million monthly viewers on October 27th.
News (Weekend – Broadcast): ABC’s 20/20 experienced a sudden drop in viewership on October 25th when it reached just 1.912 million monthly viewers. It’s the lowest average audience the program has pulled in and the only time views have dropped below 2 million since mid-August when an episode recorded 1.810 million.

CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip is currently the third most popular program on CNN, recording 795,000 monthly viewers on October 31st. The Faulkner Focus recorded 1.935 million monthly viewers on October 31st.
Laura Coates Live experienced fluctuations throughout October, consistently over and under 500,000 monthly viewers with a low of 346,000 on October 14th and a high of 636,000 on October 22nd.
The Fox News program Outnumbered recorded an average audience of 2.073 million monthly viewers in October. MSNBC’s The ReidOut encountered a sudden spike in viewership on October 10th with 2.114 million monthly viewers, marking a three-month high. In a shocking turn of events, by the next episode views had fallen to 1.253 million monthly viewers, marking a three-month low.
News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): After breaking a new viewership record on September 14th with 852,000 monthly viewers, MSNBC’s Ayman dealt with viewership fluctuations throughout October. The program fell to 445,000 monthly viewers on October 13th, though it recovered in the following episodes and climbed back to 660,000 monthly viewers by October 26th. The MSNBC program currently sits as the seventh most-watched on its network.
First of All with Victor Blackwell recorded its lowest views of the past three months on October 12th with 324,000 monthly viewers. The Katie Phang Show earned 674,000 monthly viewers on October 12th.
PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton claimed its second-highest views of the year, conjuring 834,000 monthly viewers on October 20th. The program’s highest record of the year was on August 18th when it pulled in 840,000 monthly viewers.
The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart accomplished a high record on October 12th when the program pulled in 798,000 monthly viewers. This is the greatest viewership the program has achieved this year. The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart attracted 661,000 monthly viewers on October 20th.
