Hard Numbers: ‘60 Minutes’ Ranks No. 3 At CBS, ‘Nightly News With Lester Holt’ Gains 513k Viewers

News (Daily – Broadcast): For the month of November, CBS Mornings maintained its spot at No. 16 on the CBS network, and 61st place overall on TV, with an average P2+ household of 2.298 million viewers. Good Morning America drew in 3.097 million viewers, down slightly from the previous month. The program currently comes in at No. 12 on ABC. Moving to NBC, NBC News Daily is No. 21 on the network as of December 3rd, totaling 1.195 million viewers. NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt brought in 6.965 million viewers, a 513,000 viewer increase compared to the previous month. The Today Show picked up a little speed with an average P2+ household of 2.913 millions viewers.

News (Weekend – Broadcast): As of December 3rd, 60 Minutes is the third most popular show on CBS, averaging 6.547 million viewers. Meanwhile, Dateline NBC averaged 3.123 million viewers, taking the No. 9 spot among the network’s shows and No. 43 among all TV shows. Meet the Press with Kristen Welker held steady with 2.437 million total viewers, ranking 13th among NBC’s top shows and 57th overall.

Alex Wanger - Alex Wagner Tonight / MSNBC

News & Politics (Daily – Cable): Alex Wagner Tonight, MSNBC's ninth most popular show, accumulated 1.406 million viewers in November with a loss of 111,000 viewers. Likewise, The ReidOut, which landed at No. 6 on MSNBC, averaged 1.335 million viewers, down 81,000 from October. Meanwhile Outnumbered, which is ranked No. 7 on Fox News, drew 146,000 fewer viewers than the previous month. As NewsNation’s 11th most popular show, Morning in America pulled in 32,000 viewers last month. Switching focus to Fox News, The Faulkner Focus holds the No. 12 on cable; the program averaged 1.562 million viewers with a 65,000 decrease in viewership. Making Money with Charles Payne came in at No. 7 on the Fox Business channel with an average P2+ household of 140,000 viewers.

News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): As of December 3rd, MSNBC's The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart and Velshi reached 617,000 and 576,000 viewers, respectively. Ayman followed with 525,000 viewers and The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart received 500,000 viewers. By contrast, Symone and American Voices with Alicia Menendez came in at the bottom of the list, with 330,000 and 360,000 viewers respectively. Moving to CNN, its program First of All with Victor Blackwell caught the attention of 392,000 viewers, ranking 18th among cable's most-watched shows. Last month, the P2+ viewers for Inside Politics with Dana Bash declined by 153,000 viewers down from 787,000 total.

Talk Show: In the meantime, ABC's The View garnered 2.344 million viewers for its latest episode; it ranked 15th on the network and 60th on overall TV. On the other hand, GMA3: What You Need to Know received 1.378 million viewers, keeping its No. 23 spot among the network's talk shows. As for NBC, Today's 3rd Hour and Today with Hoda and Jenna ranked not too far behind on the network, with 2.11 million and 1.525 million viewers respectively.

Sports: As of this month, First Take came in at No.13 on ESPN with 7.58 million viewers. Meanwhile, Pardon the Interruption is the platform’s 11th most popular show and 171st overall on TV, drawing in a total of 8.71 million viewers.
