Global Flicks: George Peter Barbari Presents Newest Film ‘So the Lovers Could Come Out Again’

Africa: Egun, directed by Carmen Ike Okoro, premiered on November 10. The film is written by Kayode Kasum and Dare Olaitan and is described as a corporate horror. Those staring include Gideon Okeke, Omowunmi Dada, Uzor Arukwe, Femi Jacobs, Bolaji Ogunmola, Adedimeji Lateef, Olarotimi Fakunle, Yekini Ibrahim, Vee Iye, Tomike Adeoye, Darasim Nadi, Ejiro Onajaife, and Taye Arimoro. The film was produced through the collaboration of Singularity Media, Film Trybe, and Film One.

A Tribe Called Judah will premiere from Funke Akindele Network (FAAN). The film is co-directed by Adeoluwa Owu alongside Funke Akindele and will star Funke Akindele h, Jide Kene Achufusi, Timini Egbuson, Uzee Usman, Tobi Makinde, Olumide Oworu, Ebele Okaro, Uzor Arukwe, Nse Ikpe Etim, Genoveva Umeh, Fathia Williams, Nosa Rex, Gregory Ojefua, Ibrahim Yekini, Boma Akpore, Paschaline Alex, Etinosa Idemudia, Juliana Olayode, and Yvonne Jegede.

Praise Party premiered on November 10 and stars Hadiza Abubakar and Kunle Remi.

Double Dekoi by Blue Pictures Cinema will premiere on December 1st. The film will star Sola Sobowale, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Rodney Perry, and Baaj Adebule. The film follows a young woman who goes undercover in the criminal organization Double Dekoi to clear her brother's name.

Asia: Aditya Chopra’s spy universe is set to converge in Yash Raj Films’ Tiger 3. Hrithik Roshan‘s Kabir from War and Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan from Pathaan will join Salman Khan‘s Avinash Singh Rathore and Katrina Kaif’s Zoya Humaini Rathore in the film.

The film is a personal story that follows a young Roma woman studying to be an actor who must confront the reality of making it through life alone. Șerban pulls inspiration from her personal upbringing, having experienced poverty and discrimination.

Lucía Garibaldi - Michael Loccisano

Latin America: The Uruguayan director and screenwriter Lucía Garibaldi is filming the film A Bright Future. The film is a dystopian coming of age and will star Martina Passeggi, Soledad Pelayo, Alfonso Tort, Sofía Gala, Maruja Bustamante, and Pablo Riera. It is scheduled for a May 2024 premiere.

Middle East: Lebanese filmmaker George Peter Barbari will debut his newest film, So the Lovers Could Come Out Again. The film follows two young soldiers holed up in a building controlled by Christian militias during the Lebanese Civil War. They form a romantic relationship and question if their identities will be scrutinized if found out.
