Official Oscars Preshow Program To Be Hosted By Vanessa Hudgens, Lilly Singh, And Ashley Graham
Countdown to the Oscars, the official preshow of the 2023 Academy Awards, will be hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, Lilly Singh, and Ashley Graham on Sunday, March 12th. Hudgens is hosting the preshow for the second year in a row. The show will air on ABC at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The Oscar nominees, performers, and presenters will be featured in the 90-minute special.
Vanessa Hudgens is a singer and an actress who rose to fame leading in the High School Musical film series (2006–2008). She recently starred in Tick, Tick… Boom! and The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star. Hudgens has experience hosting events, having emceed the MTV Movie & TV Awards in 2022. Upcoming projects of hers include having a voice role in Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, an animated prequel to the 2021 zombie heist film Army of the Dead, and the film Downtown Owl, an adaption of Chuck Klosterman's 2008 novel of the same name.
Lilly Singh is a YouTuber from Canada who started making videos in 2010. She began her career as Superwoman (stylized IISuperwomanII), her YouTube username until 2019. She was rated tenth on Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid YouTube stars in 2017, with a whopping $10.5 million. She has over 14.7 million members and over three billion video views as of February 2023. Throughout her career, Singh has garnered an MTV Fandom Award, four Streamy Awards, two Teen Choice Awards, and a People's Choice Award. She hosted the NBC late-night discussion show A Little Late with Lilly Singh from 2019 to 2021.
Ashley Graham is a model and TV personality. Graham was a backstage host for the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, as well as an official judge on America's Next Top Model. In 2019, she also hosted the second season of American Beauty Star. Graham is a supporter of the Health at Every Size movement and body positivity. She was the first size 16 model to appear on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover in 2016.
