Program For South Asian House’s Tribecca Festival Revealed

The South Asian House initiative revealed its program for this year’s Tribecca Festival in New York. There will be an Art of Impact panel led by Mirza Pandya, exploring the balance filmmakers should have to connect global audiences to their film’s causes. The discussion will include filmmakers who have received recognition from the Emmys and Oscars for their work.

There will also be a panel June 6 called The Value of One, featuring conversations with organizations that create opportunities for historically excluded creators. Panelists include Christine Yi, Pandya, and Sue Obeidi.

According to one of the co-founders of the festival, Monika Samtani, the events represent the commitment for South Asian House to celebrate the South Asian community and empower voices in the entertainment industry.
