Jesse Collins’ Entertainment Company Set To Take Over As Producers Of The 2024 Emmys
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Fox and the Television Academy announced that Jesse Collins' production company, Jesse Collins Entertainment, had been chosen to serve as producers of the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. There has been no announcement of a host, and there are concerns about how the writers' strike may affect this year's Emmy Awards. For the time being, the main event will air on Fox on Monday, September 18 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Jesse Collins Entertainment succeeds Done+Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment in producing the Emmys in 2020, 2021, and 2022, the first two of which were COVID-impacted events. D+D had already been producing the Emmys telecast for two years when it was paired with Hudlin in 2020 to handle the atypical, non-audience COVID-impacted Emmys. Back then, Hudlin became the first Black executive producer of the Primetime Emmys.
Collins, the founder/CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment, has previously produced the 2021 Academy Awards and serves as an executive producer for the Grammys and Golden Globes. Dionne Harmon is president of Jesse Collins Entertainment, an executive producer for the company's programming, and has worked on the Golden Globes. Jeannae Rouzan-Clay is the senior vice president of specials and an executive producer. They have also won Oscars, Grammys, American Music Awards, and BET Awards. In an official statement, Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay said, “We are honored to have the opportunity to produce the 75th Emmy Awards and look forward to working with Frank, Allison, and everyone at the Television Academy and Fox to continue the legacy of amazing and unforgettable Emmy broadcasts that shine a light on some of the most amazing people in our industry.”
Nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards will be announced on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
