Academy Sets Creative Team for 2024 Oscars
The Academy of Motion Pictures & Sciences, along with their telecast partner ABC, has set their creative team for the 2024 Oscars. Raj Kapoor, who’s worked on the Oscars telecast for the last seven years, has been named showrunner and executive producer for the first time.
Joining Kapoor is first-time Oscar executive producer Katy Mullan, who comes from live TV production house Mullan Done + Dusted. Together, they’ll work with four-time director Hamish Hamilton, who returns after a 13 year hiatus of having not helmed the show.
The rest of the creative team includes creative director Kenny Gavillis, production designers Misty Buckley and Alana Billingsley, red carpet show executive producer David Chamberlin, and red carpet creative consultants Lisa Love and Raúl Àvila.
The 96th Academy Awards will air live on ABC, Sunday, March 10, 2024, from the Dolby Theatre. A host for the awards show is still unknown.
