54th Annual NAACP Image Award Winners

Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Viola Davis, and Morris Chestnut - Frazer Harrison / Arnold Turner / Stringer

The 54th NAACP Image Awards were be broadcast live on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on BET. This event celebrated the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color across over 80 competitive categories spanning film, television, streaming, music, literature, and podcasts.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever took home five awards as the biggest film winner, and Abbott Elementary took home 6 awards for comedy series, making it the biggest television winner. P-Valley also took home 3 awards for drama series.

African American actresses Angela Bassett and Quinta Brunson took home multiple awards. Bassett won 3 awards including supporting actress in film, drama actress for television, and entertainer of the year. Burnson was presented with two awards for comedy actress and breakthrough creative.
