2nd Annual AHS Awards Adds Best Short Film Category

The A Hot Set (AHS) Awards has just added a new Best Short Film Category for shorts covered in 2023 across animated, documentary, and live-action film sectors. The AHS Awards is a virtual ceremony that honors the best media in film, television, and new media among people of color. A Hot Set journalists and editors select nominees.

This is the sixth addition to the categories for the 2nd annual AHS Awards since the last announcement in November, which included the new Best Screenplay category. Additionally, A Hot Set has added two new film categories: Best Animated Film and Best Short Film. There are also two new unscripted television categories: Best Competitive Series Host/Co-Hosts/Judges and Best Game Show Host.

Nominees for the 2nd annual AHS Awards will be announced in January 2024, and winners will be revealed in February 2024.
